24 weeks

Here's the belly shot update at 24 weeks:

So far the pregnancy is going really well. I can feel the girls moving a LOT!! And AJ can too :) I am already outgrowing my maternity clothes that I had from when I was pregnant with Wyatt! At our 24week appt (which I'm now in the 6month) they said I was measuring 8 months for a singleton pregnancy.....haha!! I feel it!! At this appt I had to do the glucose screening....hopefully blood work comes back fine! No ultrasound this time, but we will at the next one....can't wait to see them again!! We talked a little more about delivery and the doc said full term with twins is about 36 weeks and that we should be fine if we deliver around 35-36weeks (which we are hoping for!) As far as whether we will have a c-section or not is still up in the air....it all depends on my health and the twins health and their position when it comes time. But they did say that I would deliver in an operating room no matter what just in case.
I keep praying that me and the girls stay healthy.....this is a lot different than a singleton pregnancy!

Christmas 2010

Better late than never :)

Wyatt running around Christmas Eve after church

Looking to see if he could see Santa :)

Christmas morning....Santa came!!!

His little reindeer pjs with his name on the butt!! :)

He had a great time opening his gifts!

And this is AJ's gift wrapping job ;) (yes, that's a storage bin with duck tape!)

Wyatt's gift to his Daddy...he made it at the Paint Spot here in town. It looks totally different now that its been 'fired'....I kinda procrastinated taking Wyatt there to do it and they said it would take about 9 days to do the 'firing' process so they let me take it home unfinished to give as a gift and then we took it back and finished it....so what looks pink here is actually bright red, etc.....AJ loved it!

Daddy was so proud getting Wyatt his first Basketball goal! Pretty sure this thing will get a lot of use!

He has a way to go yet to using it by himself though :)

He loved his Spiderman ball pit! It only came with like 15 balls so we bought a bag of 100 more....you can imagine how much fun we have picking those up every night!! Oh well...he loves it!

Granny came over that morning too!

Granny got him a tent with a tunnel!! Oh so many more places to hide! (And Nala loves it too!)

Wyatt's gift to Granny....it says:
Grandma....Hold me a little longer..rock me a little more. Tell me another story (you've only told me four) Let me sleep on your shoulder...I love your happy smile...I'll always love you Grandma.....So stay with me awhile. You mean the world to me....Love, Wyatt
He's such a thoughtful grandson!! He loves her so much!

An easier way????

To anyone who reads this blog.....
Is there a better way to upload pictures? When I do it I can only upload about 5 at a time and half the time I try it says page error and makes me go back and try to download again (big reason I haven't updated recently) and when I download the pics they show up in reverse order that i picked them, so i have to pick the pics that i want to be first on the blog last (and pick the last pics i want on the blog first).....does any of this make sense???
I hope someone can help me.....this is such a pain!!

Belly update

So ever since we found out we were pregnant again I knew I was getting bigger faster than I did with Wyatt, but I just chalked it up to it being the 2nd pregnancy b/c you always read that b/c you've already been stretched out that the belly pops out faster. Then we found out we were having twins and then I knew I was in trouble:>

Here I am at 20 weeks and 2 days

And here I was at 19 weeks 3 days with Wyatt

And here I was at 29 weeks 3 days with Wyatt.....looks scaringly similar to my 20 week picture....yikes :> BTW, I had a great tan when I was prego with Wyatt....man I miss that color :>

Mega Cavern

On the 23rd we took Wyatt to the Mega Cavern to see the lights! He actually had a great time....even after we had to wait to get in--probably 30-40minutes.

Here we got Wyatt out of car seat while we were parked and waiting to drive in to the cavern....he thought he was big time

How the belly's growing

Here are the growing belly pics....and boy is this belly growing fast :>

I would say that my belly is about 7-8 weeks ahead of what it was with Wyatt
16 weeks and 5 days
17 weeks

18 weeks

19 weeks and 1 day

As long as the girls are healthy, the belly can get as big as it needs to be :>

Voelkel Twin Girls!!!!

Well here are the U/S pics.....finally!!

Here are the little peanuts at 8 weeks. They don't look very human here, but they were bouncing around and we could see their hearts beating :)

And just 4 weeks later, at 12 weeks, here they are.....what a difference 4 weeks makes in fetal development....they look much more human now :) They were so cute and moving ALL over the place! And they would hit each other.....as you can see, the top one has plenty of room and the poor little one on the bottom was all scrunched!! But both had adequate room and fluid

So cool to see them both at the same time....and you can clearly see the membrane separating them....they are each in their own sac...good thing.

And here's the big U/S at 20 weeks....they have grown so much!!! We have two very healthy baby GIRLS!! They continued to move all over the place doing flips and waving. We had to go to a maternal-fetal medicine doctor b/c our regular OB didn't feel comfortable with their regular u/s in getting and interpreting the anatomy of both of the babies so we saw this specialist and they were pretty much like why are you here? Ha! Fine with me....hope to never see them again!! We didn't have a bad experience....actually it was great.....we got to see the babies for at least a half hour while they got all their in-depth measurements, etc.....we just don't want to ever NEED to see a high-risk doctor again.
